Frequently Asked Questions
When should I replace my tyres?
Replace your tyres when the tread is close to the wear indicator bars (the legal minimum in Victoria is 1.5 mm), or if they are cracked, bulging or damaged. We check your tread depth and condition at every service.
What is the difference between wheel alignment and wheel balancing?
Wheel alignment adjusts the angles of your wheels so the car tracks straight and tyres wear evenly. Wheel balancing corrects weight differences in the tyre and wheel so they spin smoothly without vibration.
Can a punctured tyre be repaired?
Many punctures in the tread area can be repaired safely. Damage to the sidewall, large holes or tyres that were driven on flat usually need replacing. We inspect the tyre and advise which option is safe.
Why is my steering wheel vibrating at highway speed?
Vibration at higher speeds is most often caused by an out-of-balance wheel, but it can also come from a damaged tyre, bent rim or worn suspension parts. We check and balance the wheels to find the cause.
